Flurries of false lashes are the secret to eyes with impact. Along with glitter and blue eye shadow, false lashes have a bit of an image problem. Showgirls come to mind – snapping on thick, glittery strips before affixing their feather headdresses – but makeup artists insist that real women rely on their eye-opening promise, too. In fact, they were the finishing touch on many fall runways, where subtle sophistication and pristine polish reigned supreme.
